Can I run Helma on Mac OS?

It depends on which Mac OS you're using: the generic Unix download will install and run very well on Mac OS X. However, since Helma requires Java 1.3, it won't run on Mac OS Classic because Macintosh Runtime for Java (MRJ) in Mac OS Classic only supports Java 1.1.8. Apple currently has no intention to release a MRJ compatible to Java 1.3 for the Classic environment.
