No unfortunately not Chris.
Because Helma is based on Java technologies such as Jetty (for the
webserver component) and Rhino (javascript component) Java is essential
for being able to use Helma.
A good option for running Helma is to find an ISP that offers a VPS
(virtual private server) service, which basically gives you your own
(usually linux) based server with full access to install whatever apps
you need (eg. Java). I don't know of any ISP that specifally offers
Helma hosting.
Otherwise I believe there is an ISP that is offering a "helma-like"
webhosting service using javascript:
http://www.zimki.com/
though I have absolutely no experince with it except for finding the
link on google.
Maks.

Subject: [Helma-user] ISP problem
Hi
We would like to use Helma on a run of the mill ISP that is set up
for the standard LAMP install. They do not have Java running.
Is there any way to run Helma on these common server configs, without
Java?
Thanks
Chris
