Yes, sorry about that. The docs are a bit ahead of the release status  
right now. They are for Helma 1.6 not 1.5.3 anymore.

In the future we will add version information to newly added or  
modified properties and methods. Right now, for users of pre-1.6  
versions, the docs can be misleading at times.
