Unless I forget to startup my IRC client, I'm always in the #helma
channel on irc.freenode.net. With only me there, it doesn't make much
sense of course ;-) ...my client is just configured to automatically
join that channel.

If there is interest and we have a sufficiently large group of helma
regulars in there, we could make the existence of this channel more
public and add a bot that logs the channel, etc. So, everybody,
please join #helma on irc.freenode.net and stay in there for the rest
of your life, if you think this would be useful for the Helma project!

If you do not have an IRC client handy, you can always use a web-
based client such as this one:

http://www.google.com/search?q=web+irc
